Kolber is from Pennsylvania who earned her master's diploma in graduate studies at The University of Miami. Kolber began her career working at CBS Sports New York City in the role of video coordinator. She was awarded an award for a regional Sports Emmy during her tenure at WTVJ-TV which is located in Miami. Also, she worked for WPLG-TV Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach in Florida. In 1993, she was a part of ESPN and was picked to be one of the first anchors for ESPN2 when it was introduced in the year 1993. She was with ESPN2 up to the point that Fox Sports hired her. She was hired in 1999 by ESPN for the show "Monday Night Countdown.
