Following divorce, the couple split in 2008, after six years together. Andressa then moved to the home of her mother and the child. After six months, Urach quit her job and had to leave her child in the custody of her father. The main aim of her life was to have a better and happier life in Sao Paulo. In the book Morri Para Viver Andressa Urach says she was a victim of sexual assault throughout her childhood a victim of her foster grandfather abuse that occurred from the age of 2 to 8. Andressa was able to get away from the abuse due to her foster grandmother noticed the perpetrators in the act. Andressa went back to stay at home with her mom and didn't realize she had been abused until Andressa experienced any form of sexual abuse until she wrote her memoir. In interviews with her, she revealed that it had been unattainable for her prior to the moment of her transformation. Forgiveness of her victim was something she believed to be unattainable. One of the toughest decisions I ever made was to contact the person who was sexually abusive. The decision wasn't easy. I told him on the phone, after much prayers and fasting to forgive the man. Even though I am completely innocent of any crime, I pleaded with forgiveness. The request to forgive me was not a justification. Mariste Urach recounts her experience during an interview exclusively with Globo when she realized that a sexy attack was being perpetrated on her daughter. She traveled in order to take revenge on the child molester who is located in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul.
