American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She began her career as an actor in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2006) and She's the Man (2006). She later played reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt and played a supporting part in the short-lived show The Ex List. She played Kaylee an infant Moira in the initial season of FX's American Horror Story. She played Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead as well as Sophie on the NBC series This Is Us. She also voiced several characters from the animated comedy show Family Guy. Since 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe, a character on the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother at the age of 10. They moved around for one year before finally moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to be interested in singing, acting and photography when she was 13. At the age of 15, she and her mother moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
